Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities
Independence Avenue LLC is a disability organization providing recreational opportunities to individuals with disabilities ages 12 and up. We believe in inclusivity and do not discriminate based on disability, behavior, or medical needs. We strive to create a community where everyone feels they belong.
Our Programs
We offer a variety of programs for individuals with disabilities ages 12 and up. Most of our programming takes place at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sussex; however, we also offer activities out in the community as well.
Recreational Activities
Our Recreational Activities program is designed to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to explore their interests and participate in meaningful activities. Our experienced professionals work closely with each community member to identify their strengths and abilities and create activities that are tailored to their needs. Join us for 3-5 planned monthly activities that are fully supervised and geared to your abilities.
Rhythmic Connections
Rhythmic Connections offers a unique form of group music therapy, facilitated by our board certified music therapist. Our experience professionals are also present to provide personalized supervision and assistance to help promote the development of various skills. Our bi-monthly sessions use the power of music to create a supportive and interactive environment, where our clients can form connections and thrive.

Break for Caregivers
Our experienced team at Independence Avenue LLC understands that caring for a child with a disability can be exhausting. That's why we offer a break for caregivers, designed to give parents a chance to recharge and take some time for themselves. Our activities are focused on providing respite and support for caregivers, while our experienced staff ensure a safe and fun environment for children with disabilities.
